HRAI Manitoba Chapter Meeting – May 15th

With so much confusion in the refrigerant space Tim will clear the air on refrigerant regulations in Canada and how USA regulations will impact us here. Discussions will include the refrigerants that will become common place many of which fall into ASHRAE A2L (Lower flammability) classification and go into detail on how these refrigerants compare to the Highly flammable A3s and how the A2Ls will be used and handled including a discussion about building codes.

Tim Mcrae

Tim is the Canadian Technical Account Manager for Chemours Thermal and Specialized Solution. He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering Technology at RRC POLYTECH in Winnipeg. He has been with Chemours, previously the DuPont refrigerants business, for 34 years and has collaborated with many contractors conducting refrigerant retrofits, completed hundreds of refrigerant training events, and has assisted Original Equipment Manufacturers including automotive transition to new refrigerants. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Refrigerant Management Canada and is an active voting member of CSA B52 the Mechanical Refrigeration Code of Canada.
